Stand-Up Paddling

SUP or Stand Up Paddling has had a huge resurgence and interest in the past year and is a growing sport phenomenon. SUP is a hybrid of two famous Hawaiian sports Surfing and Canoe Paddling. Its definitely a lot of fun. Stand Up Paddling is done with long Paddles that are used for moving a larger than normal 31-34 inches wide surfboard for stability.

The introductory to Stand Up Paddling, includes a land lesson on safety tips, balance, positioning, turning, and equipment. Water time is the actual paddling techniques in the water with a guide to help each student develop skills based on their own abilities.

Advanced SUP is a more physically challenging class where you’ll be paddling into waves. Good balance, agility, and enough strength to "Catch a wave" or paddle at the same speed as the wave is required.

Instructors are there at all times to ensure safety and success and help each student attain the goal of catching a wave with the Stand Up Paddle Board.
